Who's Playin'?
Jam on the River is the official start to summer! The last 15 years have
given listeners a taste of just about every genre of music possible. This
year is no different. The 16th Annual Jam on the River will feature an
amazing lineup this year! We are proud to announce that James Brown, the
godfather of Soul himself, will be performing. Other noted musicians include:
Cheap Trick, Maceo Parker, Dave Mason, Marcia Ball, Fathead, Buckwheat
Zydeco, Terrance Simien, Blackthorn, Little Feat, Indigenous, Isle of
Q, Southside JohnnyMarva Wright, Howie Day and Gabe Dickson, K-Floor and
more. To see a schedule click here.
What's Cookin'?
Over 50 food vendors will delight your tastebuds with the best of Philadelphia
and New Orleans cuisine. Try Shrimp Po' Boys, Alligator on a Stick, Classic
Philly Cheesesteaks, all the Jambalaya you can eat and much more! Be sure
not to miss the Chickie and Pete's Café which features crab fries
and more of their famous specialties. The full list of vendors is available
here.
What Else is Goin'
On?
While you are making your way from one stage to another, be sure to check
out the craft tables available for purchase. From artisans' jewelry to
do-it-yourself hats, festivalgoers will find a colorful keepsake as a
reminder of their experience at Jam. You'll find extreme games such as
Orbitron, and the Rock Climbing Wall "extreme"ly entertaining.
The Independence Blue Cross Junior Jam for kids is their own little mini-Jam
featuring children's crafts, games and other cool things to keep them
busy.
How Much Am I Shellin'?
Think about it. When was the last time you shelled out $10 (Jam advance
ticket price) or $15 (Jam ticket price at the gate) for a concert? Probably
10 - 15 years ago! And if you did pay that, you probably only saw one
performer. Jam on the River gives you a full days worth of music and then
some! If you are bringing kids, their tickets are only $5 per child (ages
2-12; babies are free!) Advance tickets are available by calling 215.922.2FUN
or visiting pennslandingcorp.com. You can buy your tickets in person at
the 16th Street and JFK Blvd. Visitors Center.
