The International Sculpture Garden located just South of the Hyatt Regency Hotel at Penn’s Landing is the home of sculptures representing several countries around the world. The open space features an esplanade area overlooking the Penn’s Landing Marina, a beautiful view of the Delaware River, open lawn space, and two small staging spaces with a seating capacity for a total of 200 people.

The garden will undergo a redesign and expansion to the south. The look of the garden will be much greener than it currently is. After construction, areas between the Hyatt Hotel and the Penn's Landing Corporation Visitors Center will be cordoned to allow for the new grass to grow and the trees to settle. While pathways through the garden will remain, a lot of the granite and hard surfaces will become softer and friendlier with exception to the area around the Christopher Columbus Monument where a new grand stair has been designed. Nine international sculptures will be set in and around the garden which can be visited year round. Family picnics and parties will be welcomed in this tranquil setting as well as weddings and receptions. We hope that refreshing this area will encourage people to visit the sculptures and enjoy the river often throughout the entire year.

It should be noted at this time that throughout construction during the summer ’05 season the garden will not be open. However, the esplanade walkway along the river’s edge that connects the Hyatt to the PLC Visitors Center will be. Pedestrian traffic will not be interrupted
