Penn’s Landing Corporation Mission Statement

The Penn’s Landing Corporation is a non-profit organization, quasi-public corporation that was established in 1970 to manage the publicly-owned land on the central waterfront on behalf of the City of Philadelphia and the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Its overall mission is to promote the use and development of Philadelphia’s central waterfront.

The Corporation has a 20-person Board of Directors that is comprised of eleven (11) ex-officio directors (elected officials and members of the City Administration) and nine (9) representatives of the private sector who are elected by the Board (three each year, with members serving a three-year term).
